Current Requirements * CE classes taken in license years 2007, 2008 and 2009 MUST be K classes. * License law requires you take 2 hours of Legal Update each year. * In 3 years, you must complete 18 hours of K classes. (2007, 2008, 2009) * You can no longer take only one class to catch up on missed classes. * All missed years of CE must be taken before relicense or reissue can occur. A 6 hour class must be taken for each of Continuing Education class missed. If you take a 6-hour class each year you will never have to play CATCH UP. More than 3 years not taken? Retake 40 hour salesperson class - No state exam. Or take exam - if you pass you’re in. If not, you must take 40 hour class. Or take 6 CE hours for each year missed.
Check your CE Credits: * Go to http://www.michigan.gov/realestatelicense and click on verify CE credits. * A new page asks for your 10 digit ID#. * Click on your number; a page will open with a history of your classes back to1998. * Add up the K hours to determine how many hours you have and how many you need.
What hours do you need and when do you need them? * No K classes required if license application submitted on or after July 7, 2009. * If license is issued on or after November 1, 2008, no K classes needed for 2008 * New license before 10/31/08 must take at least 2 hrs. of Legal update for 2008 and a total of 12 by 10/31/09.
